*First stop is a 80ft waterfall known as
Rainbow falls.
*A stop at 7 11 will be made for you to
purchase snacks.
*You then go half way up Mauna kea
and stop at the 9,200 to acclimatize
before heading up to the final elevation
of 13,796 ft.
*While at the summit of Mauna Kea you
will view the spectacular sun set on the
west side and watch the shadow effect
on the east side as a blanket of clouds
rests below you. The summit holds 13
astronomical observatory for
astronomers and don't forget to take a
deep breath since this summit also get
the cleanest air in the world.
*Next you descend back down to the
9,200 where the star gazing is held.
*Regulations:You must be 16 years or
older to go to the summit. If younger
than 16 the kid may join the tour but
must stay at the 9,200 level with a
guardian.
*This tour is not recommended for those
with heart or respiratory problems. No
pregnant women allowed.
*Jackets will be provided but please also
dress warm.
*Departs at 2:00 PM Mon. Wed. & Fri.
